Signs. So many signs out here on the road. Thousands of them! Can't even escape them at night; they're all lit up. The ones I find most interesting are the God based ones. We just don't see them back home. Oh there is the odd one, but nothing compared to down here...more so in the Southern States.
Signs I've seen...
-Lord, you formed me in my mother's womb. Psalm 139.
-You call it abortion. God calls it murder.
-It is not a choice. It is a child.
-Nothing's too hard for God.
-Would Jesus discriminate?
-Jesus Christ is Lord, not a swear word.
-Life is short, eternity isn't.
-CHRISTmas.
Conversely, I've seen an unbelievable number of Adult Superstore and Fireworks signs. Don't know how they all stay in business, but obviously they do.
On the topic of signs, I also saw a hand painted sign once that said "For Seale" (lol).
I get a kick out of the names of liquor stores down here. Back home, it's the LCBO. Here I see...
-Liquor Galore
-Discount Liquor
-Seeing Double Liquor (I like that one)
-Cork & Bottle Liquor
-Dirt Cheap Cigarettes & Beer
and of course...
-Nancy's Liquor & Drive Thru Beer.
Makes it much more interesting. :)
And let's not forget that you can pick up your beer at most convenience and grocery stores.
We had most of today to rest up after making sure Arkansas got their fresh supply of Budweiser. We delivered to a beer distributor located in front of a jail facility. Must drive the prisoners insane to see that! Across the street, I counted 5 bail bond companies. Business must be boomin'!
Tomorrow, we head for....nooooo...El Paso!! Not again! Oh well. At least we'll be rollin'.
Texas is full of cacti...not the friendly Saguaro ones, but clusters of the prickly ping-pong paddle type. As today's pics, I show you our pet cactus that we carry around with us...
Actually, I picked it up as a gift for someone back home. For now, we take good care of it. Might even have to get our own after it's gone.
For those of you who have been trying to leave comments, I believe that issue has now been fixed, if you care to try again.
G'Nite!
