Today is my daughter's 18th birthday. It's also the first birthday of hers that I haven't been present for and that, my friends, simply sucks! The most difficult part about being out on the road is that I miss my beautiful daughter.

Of course, she's having a wonderful evening. Dinner out with family at a nice Italian restaurant, cake and presents back at my mom's, and she tells me that she also received 2 dozen red roses. Seems odd to be 1500 miles away. I'm looking forward to seeing her in another week.

We'll be driving till about midnight tonight, hopefully reaching Amarillo, TX. This load of wheel rims delivers to El Paso on Sunday. Once there, we'll put in for time off back home and make our way back up to cooler temperatures.

Temperature when we hit Oklahoma City today was 77*F. That translates to 25*C back home. I'm still wearing capris and open toe sandals. Gotta love that!

Today's photo is one I snapped last night with my daughter in mind...Sonic by sunset. She loves Sonic. :)

For those of you not familiar with Sonic, it's similar to the old style A&W's where they serve you at your vehicle.

Well, goodnight all and much love to my daughter.

P.S. This for you only daughter (an inside joke)...haha!
