Strike a pose! That's what the Saguaro cacti out here in Arizona look like they're doing. We had fun naming them...there are dancing cacti, praying cacti, some were giving us the 'peace' sign. We saw a group hug, a waltzing couple, many were waving at us, others were caught in a 'stick-em-up'. Lots of strange sign language out there, a few Judo chops, but my favourite was the hugging cactus...it had arms reaching out that were actually curled inward. So cute! And lots were trying to hitch a ride, like the one we stopped to pick up, but alas he was too tall to fit in the truck. I love these guys! We saw thousands of them today.
I'm a Canadian, married to an American. I left my job of 20+ years and sold my beloved home in order to ride around the States with my husband in an 18 wheeler. We intend to eventually settle in Oklahoma where we will build a cozy cabin on the 5 acres of land we own. This blog is about my journey out here on the road. UPDATE: Plans can change, and change they did. I'm no longer riding around in a truck with hubby. As a result, this blog will now be about my new life in Oklahoma since immigrating here, rather than about my ventures out on the road.
