Casa Juanito

That's the name of the Mexican restaurant hubby and I had dinner at this evening.

For those of you who followed my blog back when I was out on the road, you may remember me blogging about this place before. It's worth mentioning again.

It's been a favourite eatery of hubby's for the past 25+ years. Since I got down here 3 weeks ago, we've eaten there 3 times. It's become a favourite of mine as well. The food is muy bueno! And the service is great. Complimentary basket of nacho chips, served warm, with salsa dip. Free refills on the iced tea and soda. And the dessert....oh my! It is divine! Sopapilla ... a warm fried pastry treat sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with honey. Mmmmmmm (also complimentary). I'd go there just for one of those!

Hubby ALWAYS gets their Número uno: A beef and bean burrito. He doesn't even have to place his order....they already know (lol). I usually order their No. 12: beef tacos served with rice and refried beans. Tonight though I opted for Número cuatro: a beef and rice burrito with a cheese topping.

I admit it may not look very appetizing, but it is.

Atmosphere is not exactly intimate, but if you simply want a good meal out without dressing up, Casa Juanito in Del City, Oklahoma is always my first choice. When will you be joining us?
