(Sorry peeps for not blogging yesterday.)
Refreshing Change

With Easter having just passed, I thought I'd comment on one of the refreshing changes I've experienced here in Oklahoma City. I've noticed:

- Bibles are prominently displayed in center aisles at Wal-Mart;
- The Post Office nearest me plays a Christian radio station;
- There are several Christian stores around and no shortage of churches;
- A welcome aboard letter from an employer states "Our core values are to honor God in all we do by acting with integrity and respect ...";- Numerous transports and billboards display Christian based messages;
- Many convenience stores carry Christian reading material and shirts;
- Hearing "God Bless You" as a farewell comment.

Brings a smile to my face and warms my heart. :)

Of course the billboard near here that reads, "Does this billboard make my ad look big?" also brings a smile to my face (lol).

Another change for me is the sight of warning sirens (ie. for tornadoes). I'll sign off with a few pics I snapped of them the other day...on our way home from the GUN range. Talk about a change!

P.S. 'Happy Secretary's Day' to my friends back home! Or shall I be proper and say 'Happy Administrative Professional's Day'.

I read your blog all the time, Brenda & I really like it.
I remember when we were in Vegas and we were talking to some sales guy on a tram who kept calling our Provinces - "Providences". I was too annoyed to correct him. His ignorance kinda blew me away. The equivalent of us calling their "states" - "statements". Unbelievable. Guess they don't teach anything about Canada in U.S. schools. Sad really as Canada has a lot to offer.
And yeah, prescriptions are way more expensive in the U.S. That's why a lot of Americans cross the border to buy their "scripts" here!

"Providences". That's both funny and sad. The U.S. definitely is wrapped up in itself.

Had I known beforehand how much my prescription repeats were going to be down here, I would have had my pharmacist back home mail them to me. Absurd cost!

Glad you're a fan of my blog. :)
